196-Piece Maple Blocks Set $450

My 5-year-old recently began digging a pond outback of his own design, complete with over-flow canals and a leaky portion he calls "Rocky Falls."  Indoors, however, there is nothing similarly engaging his mechanical mind and he's constantly "bo-ored." So in the name of product testing I bought him (& his 3-year-old brother) this set of blocks.  It's an *enormous* success.

The blocks are so smooth and uniformly colored that I said I'd like a floor made out of them -- to which my son replied that he'd like them stained first!  This set has enough pieces that both boys can build at the same time and not fight over pieces, and enough shapes that the construction possibilies seem endless. The boys are positively giddy about these blocks, and to me they seem worth every penny.

Made from high quality, knot free, kiln-dried Michigan and Indiana Maple, each block is inspected individually for flaws and defects in quality and sizing. Completely absent coatings or finishes, the blocks are rounded on the long edges and sanded and softened on the ends and corners.  Good for tower, after tower, after crashing tower on the family room floor. No slivers, no splintering.
