Get to know Tammy in our exclusive interview in which she reveals her go-to healthy meal and her plans for baby #3.

Who is your ultimate denim icon?

Bruce Springsteen! Whenever I think of denim I think of him and the iconic ‘Born in the USA’ album cover.

What words of advice would you give to someone who doesn’t feel motivated to get back into their fitness and health regimen? What motivates you?

Just take it one day at a time. Making small changes every day make a big difference in the long run. And have fun with it! Going to the gym with a friend or taking a class can make it easier to get back into it and actually enjoy working out.

What lesson about body image do you want to pass on to your daughter (and son!)?

I always want them to feel confident and love their body no matter what. There’s so much pressure to look a certain way so I want them to know that it’s not about how you look on the outside, but about owning what you’ve got and treating your body with love and respect.

If you’re away from your gym, what are your go-to workouts?

Glute bridges and kickbacks! Even without weights I can always get a good burn. Another good alternative is anything with resistance bands, because you can take them anywhere with you.

Do you have a go-to healthy meal that you swear by?

Chicken breast, rice, and spinach is my go-to. Simple and healthy! Being a mum of two, I need simple and easy to prepare meals that give me the nutrition I need.

What is the best place you’ve travelled?

Bora Bora! I recently went there for my birthday and it was absolutely stunning. I’m already planning my next trip.

How has motherhood changed your approach to style?

At first I kind of felt like I had to dress more ‘mature’ and not so edgy. But I slowly realised there’s no specific way you have to dress when you’re a mum. You’re still yourself, so you should be able to dress however you feel comfortable and still be able to express your personal style. I now know not to give in to how people think I ‘should’ dress.

What are you most proud of in your career?

I’m so proud that I am able to inspire women to live healthier lifestyles. Being able to show people all over the world that you can be a good mum and still take care of yourself and work towards your own fitness goals is something I’m extremely proud of.

What are 3 places in Australia that everyone should visit?

1. Dreamtime Beach at Fingal near the Gold Coast where I’m from.
It has stunning turquoise blue waters and I always see dolphins there which I love.

2. The Whitsundays - Probably the most beautiful beaches in Australia.

3. Byron Bay - It’s a bit quirky and there’s such a natural good vibe there - and more gorgeous beaches of course.

What beauty and skincare products can you not live without?

I’m obsessed with Clinique overnight surge mask at the moment. I wake up with the smoothest skin! Another go-to is the Kora Organics Rose Hip Oil. I used it on my skin throughout my pregnancies and still use it for everything!

What do you hope to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I want to continue developing my fitness programs and inspiring women. I really listen to what my followers want and enjoy working toward creating programs that will suit a range of fitness goals. I’m launching my new activewear line Saski Collection very soon, so over the next five years I will be devoting a lot of time to the growth and development of that venture. And maybe give Wolf and Sass a new sibling!

What does the idea of a ‘good American girl’ mean to you?

To me it means being comfortable, sexy and embracing your shape.
