Wide Leg Jeans

Because of the wider leg, many people choose tighter-fitting tops to balance them out. We love to go with tight (but comfy) t-shirts or tanks, cropped sweaters, or bodysuits. The volume on the bottom makes your waist and torso look smaller in comparison. Of course, if you’re going for comfort, an oversized sweatshirt is never a bad idea. You can also boost your high-comfort look with a long oversized cardigan over a fitted t-shirt. Just grab your sneakers and go!

You may only get a peek of your shoe from under the wide-leg jeans hem, but don’t let that stop you. Lots of shoe styles will work well with wide-leg pants, including trusty sneakers, pointed-toe pumps, heeled sandals, flats, or ankle boots.

Like our bootcut jeans, wide-leg jeans can be worn cropped or full-length. Cropped styles are usually worn a few inches above the ankle, at the point where your calf starts to have shape (but not as high as capri pants).

Full-length wide-leg jeans should cover your ankles and rest on the tops of your shoes. Some women like them extra long so that they cover their shoes more fully—it’s a matter of preference!
